Russia and the Credit Crunch
The International Affairs Network met on 17th June 2008 and worked together on two issues. Resourced in the morning by Father Mikhail Dubko of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral (and formerly of the Department of External Affairs at the Moscow Patriarchate) they heard a very informative presentation on the present situation in Russia which prompted a lively discussion. In the afternoon, the meeting welcomed Mr Jeremy Ferns of the Economic Development Office at the City of London Corporation, who gave a fascinating presentation on the international and domestic implications of the ‘Credit Crunch'.
